Born in San Diego, California in 1960, composer, arranger, multi-instrumentalist William Haubrich joined Cape Town’s orchestra in 1982. He was soon established into the local jazz and African music scenes, as well a being a studio session musician. He has produced theme songs, soundtracks and jingles for television radio and cinema, and albums for Mathambo, African Cream, Centaur and Mountclare records. Haubrich has arranged and composed for orchestras, bands, choirs, and African groups and has been instrumental in combining Western and African musics and musicians in Southern Africa.. He is active as a teacher/clinician for brass, jazz, composing and DAW (digital audio workstations)
