Registration and Orientation 2021

Due to the COVID pandemic, curriculum advice, registration and orientation will take place remotely, on UCT’s learning management platform VULA.

First year entrants

Orientation and registration: 1 to 12 March.

Please note: Online placement tests for aural training and music theory are scheduled on 2 March. These tests are compulsory for all BMus and Diploma in Music Performance students.

Orientation, including curriculum advice and registration, takes place here. Please attend the general training sessions for using VULA, which will be offered from mid-February onwards.

Returning undergraduate students

Registration: 15 to 26 February

Registration for returning students takes place here.

Lectures start on 15 March

National lockdown regulations permitting, most practical lectures (one-on-one instrumental / vocal lessons, ensembles, aural training) will take place face-to-face at the SACM, while other courses are delivered remotely via VULA. All activities at the SACM will adhere to COVID related health and safety protocols. Registering for practical courses entails that students attend face-to-face classes at the SACM.
