Join the Friends of the College and SAVE

The SACM at the University of Cape Town, founded over 100 years ago, offers world class Western Classical concerts, Opera productions, African music and jazz concerts on a weekly basis throughout the academic year.
Our ticket prices are kept as low as possible to stay within reach of all. In fact, the prices have not changed since 2009, so I hope it won’t be too much of a shock when you hear that normal ticket prices have gone up by a mere R5. Further discounts are available if you join the Friends of the College. (See below.)
 
ATTEND SYMPHONY CONCERTS, SYMPHONIC JAZZ CONCERTS, SYMPHONIC WIND ORCHESTRA CONCERTS, OPERA, BIG BAND JAZZ CONCERTS AND MANY MORE FIRST-RATE SACM PERFORMANCES AT THE BAXTER, SACM AND ARTSCAPE FOR UNDER R35 A TICKET.
   
R525 will entitle you to 15 performance vouchers (R35 each), which will be issued to you at the beginning of the UCT concert year. This is a considerable saving, as normal prices range from R50 to R80, and over R100 for the operas. Members may then purchase more vouchers at the pro rata rate of R35 each when they run out. Tickets are transferable, so your family and friends may attend concerts with you or even without you. This also makes them the perfect gift for someone who has everything!
A huge bonus is that for the student operas, the vouchers are valid for the lowest price range in the house. Your tickets may be upgraded if you pay the difference at Computicket or at the box office on the night, subject to availability.
